The desk of a writer.
I am sorry I've been away from mini land. I've really missed you guys and playing with my minis. I've been writing a women's fiction with romance novel. So, writing (and remote schooling) have taken up all my time.
Actually my desk is a lot messier than that. I have craft reference books and binders and all sorts of things on my desk. Eventually, I will do a more realistic desk of a writer. :)
We finally had a Big Apple Miniaturists meeting again in person (distanced and masked), and I was so happy to see everybody. And I also got so happy looking at my minis again as I was searching for various supplies to bring to the meeting.
Once this book is released, I hope to play with my minis again. And my next book in the series has a miniaturist in it!
Anyway, we made books at the Big Apple Miniaturists meeting, so it was perfect.
I love your little books! And the chaise is wonderful!
ReplyDeleteThank you! Someone else in my club made the chaise as a club project (before I joined), and she was giving it away because she was getting rid of all her 1/12 miniatures. She mostly works in quarter scale now. So I happily scooped that chaise up! I love it!
DeleteIt is lovely to see a post from you, Kathy! And to hear about all of the exciting endeavors that have filled your time since last you checked in! I can't wait to start the book series, so do let us know when and where we can get the first book! Being able to meet for the mini club again must feel like real progress in getting life back to normal. I bet the kids have enjoyed the remote learning, and having mom right there to lend a hand!
ReplyDeleteIt felt so great to see everyone and to work on minis together again. I think the kids missed seeing their friends in person, but they liked being able to sleep in.:) My debut novel is Partner Pursuit, available now on Amazon in paperback and releasing on October 18 in e-book. And my next novel with the miniaturist is called Is This For Real?, which definitely has some meaning in the mini world, but it's a fake dating romance. I hope you have been doing well. I look forward to catching up on all your posts and seeing what fabulousness you have been up to.
