A Decorated Christmas Cart post-Christmas

My Christmas cart is filled, but I haven't glued anything in yet :)  And even though it's past Christmas, I thought I'd share it with you.

I think I will wait until next year to glue or use tacky wax.

One of my favorite ebay purchases was this little Christmas caroler. (Because, even though I have boxes of Christmas minis, I still looked on eBay).

Here's  the decorating of the cart in process:

On the middle shelf is a paper snowman and tree scene that I made at my Big Apple Miniaturists Club in a class taught by Ginger Landon Siegel..

I also painted that Santa plate and made the tree decorations.

Here's an earlier version of the ArtofMini deer in forest scene - before I added snow. There was enough snow left over from the true2scale gingerbread kit that I used that to add snow to this kit. I used white fabric paint to streak the trees.

And then in the Big Apple Miniaturists club meeting in January, we made this little matchbox soldier out of the head of a toothpick, sitting in pill capsule.

Have a great week!

Gingerbread and Kaffee anyone?

I've spent this week working on this True2Scale micro gingerbread cafe kit (available at https://true2scale.com/).

I bought the kit right before Christmas (as well as the Christmas hutch fundraiser piece for the 6 miniaturists who lost their homes in the Paradise fire -- a project for next December).  And then I realized I had bought the kit before in June 2017. So I thought I really should make this kit (before I buy a third one)!

Here it is in progress:

The kit is really quite clever.

And then there's even furniture for the interior.

There's even a little snow village on top of the fireplace:

I think the trees came out really well too:

Happy weekend! Hope you're keeping warm!

The Day After New Year's

And that's why I said "not too many more" mini animals because I purchased this fellow a few days ago. He is so cute and I love when dogs want their belly rubbed. Alice Zinn made him.  (And I bought the boots several years ago from SereneDolls on Etsy.) I bought the flowers at an IGMA show.

Happy Thursday!

Happy New Year 2019!

Wishing everyone a happy, healthy and mini-filled New Year!

I cut out the New Year's Eve cards from the Paper Source catalogue.  It's a good source for mini cutouts.

And this picture is also to serve as a reminder to me that I have a lot of animals (and I should try not to buy too many more 😂).

Happy New Year!
